In the BiggerPockets Blog today, blogger Jason Hanson wrote a post titled, The Halloween Deal Finding Real Estate Marketing Plan.I wanted to see if any of you used the holidays in a similar way to do your own marketing?

Do you guys think that uploading a personal profile image (avatar) should be a pre-requisite for participating on the forums, blog system, properties directory, etc. here at BiggerPockets?

I've really enjoyed reading the expert blog articles and spending hours going through the forums.

Fill us in a bit more about yourself and your RE desires/interests.The key to getting the most out of this community is to stay active and engage the community in the forums and blogs.

@Arthur- You nailed it.I wrote a BP Blog post Monday about Sam Zell.He thinks that 2012 will be tuff on investors trying to refinance in a falling market.Mark, we are in for a bad year.In the mid '70's-80's, I owned rentals.

I've posted a whole lot of my spreadsheets, checklists, templates and methodologies on these forums, on the BP blog and on my own blog.

I signed up for BP back in September and have really just been absorbing all the great knowledge and advice located in the forums and blogs since then, but today is the day I introduce myself.I have been licensed for only four months and am only working it part time for now.
