I’ll answer anyway, I’m not FF by any means but for me it was buying a plane ticket and spending a weekend in the market interviewing everyone who would meet with me and surveying the neighborhoods I was going to buy in.

I'm not quite sure why you would need a lateral bracing along the perimeter of the basement unless it is to resist the wall from out-of-plane bending.. 3 steel beams in the basement slab or for the floor above it?
