Hi Jonathan, My partner and I are trying to get the knob and tube rebate, but we are seeing that it is income dependent and you are disqualified if you make $75K or more for two incomes.

I think this is a great strategy especially if you can partner with your parents. 

In addition, if you bought any of these below market, you might capture some equity upon purchase.My wife and I do a mix of syndicating and limited partner investing in apartments and have had great returns.
