SEction 8 in the mid west or deep south is nothing like Section 8 on the west coast.Section 8 tenants are sought after in those markets because of the govmit paying the rent. free market rent in those areas is very much hit and miss. so they go for the govmit surety at least for the 1 year period.on the West coast there is really not much need for section 8 in the free market like there is in those markets... and its tough to get landlords to accept them.. very tough. ergo they have a liason.I mean in our markets here on the west coast you get market rent and on time generally if you screening well and you don't get the wear and tear that the average section 8 home gets because of the family demographics usually.... unless you get elderly section 8 I had a bunch of those in Vancouver wa.. they were a dream.. even though it was below market rent they never caused any issues and lived there until they passed....
