Even if unmodified, the shields/sleeves on the wires have deteriorated with age - or become part of someone's nest - leaving exposed wiring in walls, ceilings and attics ... we had an incident a few years ago where a tenant drove a nail to hang a mirror and shorted out three rooms {new acquisition at the time that has since been rewired}.Additionally, household electrical demands (a few light bulbs, a radio, and {perhaps} an electric icebox and/or range) were far less in the age of K-n-T and installations were not designed to accommodate today's electronic lifestyle.

Renting as a second exit strategy is nice to have in your back pocket, but if your goal is to flip and this purchase is going to tap out your nest egg then maybe you could just use a home equity line of credit so you can do another deal when this one sells?

Yavor sorry, I might have seen carpenter ant frass in pic as well (not uncommon for c/ants to eat termites or nest in areas previously damaged by termites).

@Ben Volkman its tough to provide advice as we dont know what your current nest egg looks like, but you may want to look at some of the short term investment options offered by online banks also read Tony Robbins "Money, Master the game" its a game changer if you listen to his advice

Thanks everyone for the input.I'm checking/testing now.We should add Nest to the list of good cameras, I think.To be honest, I am surprised to learn that in this niche market they manage to sell rather expensive cameras full price and then require a non negligible subscription to a proprietary cloud while video cloud storage is free (Google Photos or videos or YouTube private), or very inexpensive (Amazon WS).

I've had success with this but truthfully the people I've succeeded at this were so good they only needed one or two deals help and they left the nest.
