I did almost everything over email and their web app, only just one brief phone call to clarify a few details.

Otherwise it's gambling.

I think the out of town investor just gambled on it and won, it was a good buy.

More the principle  Glad you are taking this route rather than gambling with an HOA.

Hello,Is anyone using a software / web platform for new construction underwriting of lower-density residential (say less than 12 units) that they have had great success with?

While I don't use that skill set exactly in my real estate business, it does provide me the ability to develop web sites and software for our business which is a key component. 

Hey @Chris Napierala, if you have tech experience, which I assume means web creation and/or programming, then you can look at Wordpress as a hosted platform on Blue Host or some other top Wordpress hosting company.There are a ton of widgets and API's for Wordpress just for STR or hoteliers etc.
