In some states LLCs are more easily pierced than others. 

I'm more concerned about comingling personal funds and business funds...the whole "piercing the veil" and creating personal liability.

Everything else just becomes burdensome, causes other issues, and may or may not be able to be pierced anyway.

John Lenhart I've heard that before but I'm highly doubtful a land trust, let alone DBA LLC is going obfuscate the managers/members name if it gets in front of a judge Inam effort to pierce the corporate veil.

Yeah, that whole piercing the corporate veil is tricky.
