I don’t have experience with homes that have flooded multiple times and I’ve heard numbers ranging from 7-30% reduction of pre Harvey value in some areas such as Meyer land, Jersey Village, etc.

I have a rental available and was contacted by a New Jersey (NJ) organization called Bridgeway Community Partners in Mental Health aka Bridgeway Rehabilitation Services.It sounds like they send out their own inspector to ensure habitability of the property and then they pay for security deposit and monthly rent until tenant gets on their feet.

J Scott, you can put up all the arguments you want, but the fact is, we are still sitting around 10% unemployment, 4.5% of all mortgages are in default (according to a news article I read today), my personal 401K is 40% lower than it was at it's height under President Bush ( a very conservative 401K too, I make more money on one RE sale that I have made in 10 years in my 401K), the economy sucks and Obama can't blame Bush any more.You cheering for Obama is like cheering for the Detroit Lions, the New Jersey Nets and the Kansas City Royals!
