I wonder if I might want to wait until just after Christmas and hopefully let potential purchases and their prices keep falling.But, I don't know if this is accurate or not. 

However, instead of redeeming it monthly I give them one large amount before Christmas.

Yea the taxes are up there a little, but the buying properties I believe are less expensive and affordable than Florida.Wishing you the best and Merry Christmas!
