Cities have rules and neighbors and permits and police.

I've got posts of my STR experiences with rattlesnakes, prostitutes, intruders, more intruders, police, psychotic mutts, one tenant having an affair with another tenants wife, dead bodies, ghosts, wild animals, pellet guns, real guns, check cashing, marriage counseling, trips to the emergency room, drug overdoses, flat tires, kegorators, etc.

Because of the situation (her friend who we talked to when we were there said she was depressed as her husband left her and she has a small kid), we left a note and will be phoning the police tomorrow for a welfare check and then will have a locksmith meet us on Thursday to rekey the lock (giving her notice and telling her when, so we aren't locking her out, but we can't get in). 

Police were called and didn’t find anything, not surprisingly.

On top of that, with eviction courts being closed right now and police not enforcing evictions in CA even if you could serve a 30 day notice and they squat past the 60 days you're still not meeting the FHA requirements.The formal text is here:  https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?

With city governments capitulating to BLM and slashing their police budgets, that migration will only accelerate.

Join the Facebook Group called Portsmouth Political Pulse (va) and Portsmouth VA Police/Fire Scanner Group to get a handle on the insanity happening in the city.  

We know who the culprit is and have put in a few police reports, installed fake cameras and security signs as deterrents.

If there is a felony, I would pay particular attention to whether there is a history there that would tend to make you think that it is a continuing pattern... related misdemeanors, common interactions with the police, etc.   

And this keeps tenants from playing you, for extended months, waiting for a court date, so you can get what's called an unlawful detainer, so the police can be called in to man-handle the offending tenant out, if need be.
