And here in San Antonio we have an abundance of incompetent trades/contractors who aren’t aware of how to pull permits and adhere to required city building and remodeling codes. 

There is not an abundance of multi-family properties in and around the city.Hopefully, your realtor can help you find one but they are pretty competitive.Good luck!

I've noticed that condos that are purchased near an area of high abundance, the condos don't really appreciate much - too much supply.. either way, happy to hear you are renting it out with minimal problems!!
