But our timeframe is a year from now, so we're still figuring everything out.I work in film/tv post-production and while I may be able to do the work from home thing with that job (at least to some degree), I will need to replace much of my income with this new business.Thanks again- I'm sure I will have more questions as I do some more exploring.... 

If you leave it open-ended, they may take the TV, computer, and a few other items of value and leave you with everything else.

@Marshall Hooper - Yes a 506(c) offering allows you to solicit funds from Facebook, TV, Radio, etc.However there are more steps involved. 

Another option ($$$) Might be to engage an advertising company, and have them flood the local radio, TV and Internet With bi-weekly news stories about the coming business, focusing on the number of jobs that will be created.The number of jobs both for construction workers to build it, and the number of employees that will staff it over the shifts it will be open.

Just had a debate with my team about mounting TV's on bedroom walls.

Less choices in the fall/winter, but then again, we're not worried about where to put the tv, or what color the carpet is :)

When I listed concerns of flagrant lease violations, gone unchecked (derelict vehicles, unregistered large breed dogs who are not picked up after, garbage scattered out in the yard, piles of debris; old tires, tv, kitchen sink, broken wheel barrow, all sitting out in plain sight for a month or more), wash machine drain hose running out a window and draining into the lawn.
