Besides being worried at adding complexities to my properties, I genuinely don't really know what people want, because when I travel I'm not spending the kind of money that people are obviously spending at these ultra high cash flowing properties.

Some strategies to lessen the negative cash flow are: house hack and rent out the other unit as a mid-term rental (to traveling professionals or for people temporarily displaced because of insurance reasons like fire) or short-term rental (business or vacation).

Make sure you have smoke and CO detectors in appropriate places, GFCI outlets near water, functioning mechanicals, make sure everything is in good condition and you shouldn't have a problem.

They are even featured in articles, have been profiled and interviewed in the local media outlets, look really good online etc. and have a reputation around town as being highly successful because they have been busy buying a lot of units and making themselves look successful even while doing what I would consider very bad deals.It's smoke and mirrors.
