Obviously you don't want to lose too much money but I felt it was worth the plunge if I could find a househack where my monthly living expenses were about the same as what they are now and if I could gain experience from that househack to help me in the future.  

I figure this is a good way to get our feet wet with rentals before taking the plunge with a multiunit.

If $15K is a stretch, you may need to build more equity before taking that plunge. 

I think I am very close to finally making the plunge on my first flip, but I do have a little voice in the back of my mind saying that I could fail. 

Any last words of advice before I take the plunge?

Half of the questions I could research (asking my insurance agent for a health insurance quote, for example), while the remaining questions I concluded could only be answered after I took the plunge.

With this being my first one, I was more comfortable taking the plunge with a little "hand holding" through Roofstock.

Going through deals and learning from great mentors at the same time, seems like the best strategy for me, since I rather take the quintessential "plunge" in MF investing.
