I think you need to weary about several other aspects with an STR. 

Parts of it are similar to SFR, some aspects translate, but they are different worlds in different universes. 

If you’re house hacking there is an aspect of your lifestyle to consider.

Unless you are doing a serious amount of volume , both from a cost and performance aspect, it will make more sense to outsource.

But then again, some people dislike that aspect of me 😊

We handle all aspects of the deal as a traditional broker would but our pricing is based on local market dynamics, marketing times, marketing initiatives, and property specifications. 

If its a New Western deal though I am extremely dubious .. those require extra due diligence as the deals I see coming from them one needs to verify every aspect of what your being told.

Consider the emotional aspect too.
