But I’d be amiss if I did not suggest that instead you gain knowledge of the aforementioned 3 foundation by studying for a real estate agent/broker license, and then seek employment with REITs, real estate operating companies, real estate managers, or real estate brokers.  

That's only 0.4% of the population.....Buuuut 10% of FT employed civilian workforce, that seems a lot better...........but why is >50% of US populace not employed FT?

The peer to peer lending platforms as well as the real estate crowdfunding platforms are not having their investments chosen by Warren Buffet, or for that matter any money/investment manager employed by the big pension funds, endowments or ultra wealthy individuals that RDPD is always alluding to.  

My post is simply an opinion of this partnership model not being all that great for "partnership", or "passive investing", or really any mechanism of employing my capital. 

As far as waiting until you graduate: either option would work but I would imagine your biggest obstacle at the moment would be that you do not have a set record of wages from an employer.
