Hold the property in the LLC's name for liability shielding, and use it for rent collection, expense management, and centralized operations.

I've been eyeing land in Central and West Texas, and they occasionally have some interesting opportunities, but some of them seem too good to be true. 

If you're in the Bay Area, Sacramento and the Central Valley are all within a 2 to 2.5 hour drive and price points are much lower.
