So REI in California only makes sense if you've been there since the 70s or 80s OR if you're financially well off and can afford a few million dollar properties. thats like saying all real estate in CO is priced like Boulder or Aspen or Vail.all states have expensive areas CA is no exception however CA has areas ( many) were prices are lower than Denver for sure and modest by west coast standards..
