However, I was speaking for weeks to a very close friend of mine who is a professional athlete and mentioned that he would support if needed.

One of the perks of being a professional athlete is the exposure you get to people of wealth.

I get where they're coming from - but it's still funny.The "number of properties owned" doesn't really say anything definitive about a person's wealth, income or experience (similar to Michael Siekerka's point earlier in this thread).It's kind of like judging an athlete based SOLELY on how much they can bench press.

Same thing with being a professional athlete, I would love to play in the NFL but I've accepted that it will never happen.

Trust me, with my strong demeanor, athletic style; I've had my share of persecutions and grappling with feeling like I'm out of place.

When we went through the mens locker room the names on the lockers where the who's who of corporate america. the only Athletes that are members are Palmer and Nicklaus. and these kings of industry have to share lockers..

Sadly I wasn't as knowledgeable about finances during undergrad and ended up splurging on my student loans (even though I was a full scholarship athlete - didn't read the fine print on the disclosures ugh!).
