It's like with any business, vertical integration has is pros and cons, and you won't fully understand the tradeoffs until you are far down the line.

I was accustomed to spending time in my yard, gardening, and such.

Those effected go well beyond the property owners, the economic contribution of RE and subsequent economic loss in the form of: management, maintenance, landscaping, caretaking, hospitality, tourism, contracting, designing, pools and gardening is economically catastrophic and will reverberate well beyond specific zip codes.

And when you combine that with buying off market going direct to seller, you can build a real estate empire while being vertically integrated.All of this aside, whatever market you decide to invest in, please be sure to develop a relationship with a reliable contractor and a project manager.All the best!!!
