This is not nay saying, urinating on or being negative, this is seasoned STR investors not wanting others to fail. 

Most of the ones we won worked out ok, but one wreaked so badly of cat urine even after stripping out all the soft surfaces we cut our losses and sold it to a handyman unfinished who wanted to live in it and refinish it himself.

Once we got possession of the house we literally had to wear respirators to be able to enter the house the cat urine smell was so strong.  

Because the backyards are so small, even a single dog is hard on the real grass (concentration of urine in a small area scalds the grass).

Just build a new property, knock some holes in the walls and urinate in the corner.

Aggression aside, intact dogs tend to urine-mark their territory, incl indoors.

I have laminate in my home, the dog urinated in the same area for a few years causing bubbling at the seems a little bit.

Make it into your own home And DEFINITELY keep the urinal 

Then there is one on the wall to the left of it, which I hate opening since it opens to the patio of my neighbors apartment where she keeps 5 little dogs, so opening it only fills the hot living room with the smell of dog urine.
