Because I'm inside the maritime zone (within 200 yards of the high-tide line), my property is a concession (a 20 year lease) and there are further restrictions on what I can do, including a 3 meter setback from the fence.I've been to the city planner, plead my case, and have been told verbally and in writing, that I cannot build closer than 3 meters to the property line fence, even a shed which would only be inhabited by surfboards, no windows, electricity or water.So my fall-back plan is to find a portable shed large enough to house 10 foot long boards and some tools.   

If you choose to provide for your renters add-ons like bikes, surfboards, skateboards, snorkel gear, basketball in your backyard, pickleball courts, paddleboards, scooters, a pool, hot-tub or literally anything that can be seen as an added liability. 

I've heard of AirBnB, but I think you just created your own BPBnB :) I've already mentioned to you, but come on down to Huntington Beach, and bring your surf board ... we'll leave the light on for ya.

I'll be holding on to a dozen surfboards, surfings my true passion.

People are always happy, kids are riding bikes with surfboards attached, playing with their friends on the beach, it is something that makes me feel alive inside.  

I can have the greatest ad for selling snowblowers and surfboards on the planet, but if I am marketing snowblowers to people in Sand Diego and Surf boards to people in Lincoln Nebraska it does not matter.

We rent bikes and surfboards at our beach locations and sell cold drinks in our fridges.

Do you include any perks with your rentals (bikes, surf boards, tickets?)

We have a 2man kayak, stand up paddle board, and some surf boards, beach chairs, and beach toys for the kids that you guys can borrow anytime you want.

No pool, so added other unique and fun things in the yard - large screened porch with dining table and lounge area, Gazebo, lawn games, putting green, outdoor shower made out of an old surfboard.
