I tried to post what I was looking for in bigger pockets and got shut down for soliciting business

I went through a similar issue trying to open a business bank account in 2020 when everything was shut down and it was such a pain.

Having someone come in late in the bidding process who is jumping by more than the minimum CAN help shut action down.

My area for example has to have certain signage and an emergency shut off button located directly by the hot tub. 

I'm self-employed and did not know if my business was going to be shut down due to the virus.

Insurance-  hookup and shut off costs.

I make sure that when I am doing major work that I plan to avoid potential problems on a Sunday. ie I am not replacing valves and faucets on a Sunday in case something breaks and I need to shut off water and go get a new part to fix it and they are all closed until the next morning. 

As a newbie, and one month into owning , we (husband and I) feel like we def jumped in with our eyes wide SHUT!

Shut off the main to the building and check the meter to see if its running , if so you have an underground leak . 

Not saying they all fall within this category, but many do so I don't necessarily agree there will be direct competition shutting them out of the business.
