I'm just 32 so quite a while before retirement.

I retired in 2008 with 21 years in the Air Force.13 sales in your first year is pretty impressive, particularly for someone on active duty.

Like a calculator to simulate this strategy (https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/61/topics/795487-retire...), maybe showing how much equity could be pulled out of which property when, whether the portfolio would still cash flow, etc.

I have one in mind at Rent to Retirement. 

Did you set out to retire with real estate, did you have a goal or an amount you wanted to make?

@Travis Boyd why does your FIL want to retire from landlording?

I have used retirement funds for investing and I do not recommend cashing it all out.

As a retired CPA, I saw plenty of tax returns by these firms that clearly were done poorly. 

Overall goal being to retire in the home in 10-15 years.
