@Greg Scott I have a picture of me inside a hole looking an a rusted, broken, and clogged cast iron pipe.

We were not interested in the initial asking price, but countered with a much lower price.

I understand it’s a different market but I think $1200 is a pipe dream.

As a result, my bill has effectively risen from $500 bi-monthly to $700 monthly since the pipe replacement.

Or do you think there’s room for innovation that could counter these challenges?

The kitchen could use some cosmetic upgrades - counters and flooring and the full bath upstairs needs a full update.

We opened the kitchen with a new bar counter space and tore up all the carpet.

Sure you can get away with it , until a home inspector looks at the dates on electric wire , or pvc pipe . 

In a perfect world the water is hard piped at least 15-20 feet from the structure once it comes out of the gutters.Where is the top of foundation in relation to elevation of drainage and elevation of the road?
