My vote is to repair, repair, repair.Water damage can lead to significant problems, from blistering / peeling paint to ceilings collapsing and electrical shorts.

I do enjoy my day job and hope to stay there as long as possible, with the hope of peeling off by 45 (just turned 40 this month) and after that would consider maybe using the cash flow to benefit me a bit. 

It's a far superior product to sheet vinyl and peel and stick vinyl products for a multitude of reasons.1) With most brands, you can't install it over an unconditioned space, it has to be climate controlled.

So put your trays and seat backs in the upright position because we are probably in for a Hard Landing or at least a lot of turbulence. a klabamo landing where the oxygen masks drop :)
