There is a nice downtown there with bars, restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops.

Every appraiser has told me they're appraising the house, not the staging, but I can almost guarantee that a nice clean staged home that is cold on a hot day, has all the lights on, smells good will appraise for a higher price than a foreclosure dump that smells and stacked full of trash. 

Additionally it would be nice to write off a car and whatnot which I can't do with my first Airbnb as easily. but addressing the root of what you're saying, I 100% agree with you.

Hi guys, I'm looking at buying my first multifamily in the US, I've found some nice new construction properties in the Independence Heights area of Houston Texas (around $500K).

They plant flowers, keep the yard nice, and I really enjoy them.

This is a competitive sellers market at the moment with a lot of players working the MLS, you can get some nice base hits here and there, but I don't know of anyone that's hit a homerun buying on the market lately.  

You could probably do a nice pension for your spouse.
