Regardless if this is true, semi-true or just a thoughtfully concocted conspiracy, I highly doubt a Chinese government official is going to go knocking on doors handing out notices that their home is now in the hands of the Chinese government due to the U.S. governement's inability to repay it's debt.

Lots of people sell snake oil, fake, concocted balances that are just guesses.

If you ask a question and they look down and scratch their head or look up or away or are uncomfortable then they are concocting a story to tell or trying to hide something and give you a partial truth to an answer.
