That's how it'll work out.For your personal situation, my personal opinion if you and your wife are trying to start up quit getting cute with investing and go buy a really good SFH is a good neighborhood and cherish family formation.

I'd rather fix broken properties and cherish what's already built.

Regardless of who owns the home it is still a tool to make money, not something to be loved and cherished.  

It's a cherished time machine of nostalgic memories of the very best of good times spent with inseparable friends during an unforgettable, seminal period of the tenant's life.

Kids are only kids for so long and obviously that should be cherished, but running around the yard playing games doesn't teach much of a life lesson and we all spend way more time as adults.

Morally i feel it is the right thing to do and landlords cherish long term tenants such as these.
