If this will be your first rental, I would probably wait a year or so after renting it before scaling into more properties, especially if you will be traveling.

It will be on you to reach out to these folks to see if you would be a good match for what they need.It is *not* a site where people can just put in their travel dates and find, book and pay for a place to stay without interacting with a human.

I personally love the area and travel there very often.

My overall goal is have passive income while I am able to travel the world at ease.

I've also heard that traveling nurses are good mid term occupants, so try reaching out there. 

To boost income, consider mid-term rentals (travel nurses, corporate stays), renting by the room, or adding value with minor renovations.

Also, sometimes they travel with their family so it may be beneficial to rent it out by the unit and not by the room.

I am torn because I also like to travel, fish, backpack and making money takes some time.
