I like metal blinds better, they block more light than vinyl.

Your cast iron vent stack - or even PVC (after 1970s) likely does not need replacement.

Tiling your tub surrounds to the ceiling not only looks nicer, but also helps waterproof the area better, and will likely never need replaced (versus vinyl surround which last about 3 yrs before tenants start cracking them, in my experiences).

It was built in 2002, and I renovated the entire flooring by removing the original tile and putting Vinyl flooring in, there is no carpet within the house.

Vinyl siding also can warp,get cracked. get ripped off in high wind,sun will fade it and then leftover pieces will not match when you replace years later.
