I was broke enough that I couldn't afford rent at my apartment, but fortunately my landlord didn't notice, thanks in part or in whole due to some substance abuse issues.Anyways, when visiting my mom in the neighborhood where I grew up, I had noticed this construction van at a house on our street.

My wife and I were 100% broke and looking for a way to get into real estate. 

Back home I would make a packet for my appraiser and never had a bad appraisal due to the that I specified the value add and the Reno amount and broke it down so they saw the potential and it always worked.

A VA loan is marketed to people who are broke and CAN"T put any money down because they have none to put down.  

Miraculously, I didn’t lose my shirt, but I broke even on one house and, due to other circumstances, had to walk away from another.

And yes, there is a risk that your rates would go up or they can drop you - but unfortunately, many insurers in that are may already be planning to exit the market or raise rates on everyone to make up for loses.One thing to note about a claim like this, insurance will usually pay for repairs to the damage caused by the problem, but not fixing the actual pipe that broke.

Also being a winterized foreclosure the sudden rush of water probably broke some things loose in the pipes. 

I can find the broke and impatient all I want at convenience stores and sports bars.Something to be said about paying for a service.
