Technology allows us to collaborate with clients all over the US (and world) - for instance, I live in DC but have two clients in Mass - the only thing I can't do is shake their hands.

I really am not trying to be "that" neighbor this guy has just done a few things that I won't detail that have made me shake my head and I want to proceed cautiously here. 

Although in FL until all this mess shakes out, if it ever does, then I probably wouldn't even buy one as a personal residence.   

It's an investment in your investment, and it will pay huge dividends in peace of mind if you take the time to go shake their hands, see the area, and take a look at some of their work (if turnkey, what props have they rehabbed/sold/currently manage, if DIY, what houses has your contractor worked on, what props does the PM manage?).

This is why the real estate market will have to shake out.

But, I figure it's good to cover ourselves because I'm sure one day we we will be standing there shaking our heads looking at a washer or dryer with something crazy wrong with it and going "THAT is crazy...

I have a corporate background, and when my very first tenant cursed me out over the phone for something I can't even remember, I was shaking and shocked.

I've just got to laugh and shake my head at some of the comments and misconceptions.

Milwaukee has great potential and it does earn investors a fair shake right now. 

Oops, just because my handshake is as good as a legal contract does not mean my sellers hand shake is good.
