I am wondering about the process for getting a property Section 8 Voucher certified and how the PHA adjusts rental prices to match Fair Market Value.Cheers!

It is a housing voucher program ONLY for honorably discharged military veterans who have fallen on difficult times. 

I’d treat it like applying for a Section 8 voucher where a tenant needs to prove he has need.

Even if you don't want a HUD voucher tenant in your property it will provide you the most options if you use their standard for accepting work.

According to this article, during the 95-96 shutdown, "Local HUD officials reported that their agency had enough remaining funds to pay Section 8 rent vouchers through the end of December, but there was some question about the status of the January payments."

The house is rented to Section 8 tenants with a voucher of 1050.

I just had to come up with 50% of the vacant land/lot money and he would finance the rest of the project with a 12 month note @ 12% simple interest (as the money was borrowed), construction draws were every 2 weeks on a voucher type system and most projects were completed in 4-6 months.

She asked about section 8 voucher housing program, which is a subject I am not completely familiar with, but I said I would find some answers about the subject and get back to her.Is there a better way to make this deal happen or am I delving into dangerous territory?

She basically did this because she found another place to live and had to have a reason to "get out of my building" and get her voucher back.
