@Ken ChengAt first expect to travel more than you might like until you established your system when investing OOS.

I suspect most are not that accurate book keepers and really don't know.. and especially if its out of  state I rarely hear investors adding in the cost of travel to their overhead.. 

Last week I attendedthe Serviced Apartment Summit in New York and both STR / Smith Travel Research and All the Rooms presented their findings on higher end extended stay lodging options. 

My goal in 2-3 years is to travel via airbnb for months at a time domestically and internationally, living off of my rental income (as well as build-up my IRA which I depleted paying off cc debt used to upgrade properties, e.g. adding bathrooms, gut kitchen, and yes, pay a few months of morrgage payments).Still with me? 

Traveling nurse or med students maybe?

It took significantly longer than hoped but doing it only on nights and weekends with full-time job that involves travel made it difficult.

You live in HI, How far do you want to travel?  

If you have a vehicle that can tow, get a travel trailer.

Note you will also have plenty subs that will travel the distance for you as well once they get to know you.
