too late to hide assets they can claw back ... it will be obvious.. just sell them move to cash take the cash and jump on a plane to the islands open an off shore account.. ( make sure you pay UR IRS tax's ) that should work..

If I were to buy a 20 unit building OOS, I'd probably hop on a plane and go see it/oversee the due diligence (1 or 2 trips out there) just to be safe. 

I need to sit down with someone soon to do some planing.

Plus you can visit us by car or plane for under $200 for the weekend. 

@Alec AndersonMy house is on the edge, but within the 500 yr flood plane (Zone X) and I'm not required to have flood insurance.

I found out the ares is going to be paced in flood plane 2019 and structures will need to be raised 5 feet or more to qualify for affordable flood insurance.

I assumed that is coming to exclude like-kind exchanges of planes, cars, equipment and the like, which was common practice to off-set capital gains.

Or pay $80,000 for one you find on the MLS,....when you include a couple of $700 round trip plane tickets, plus food and lodging for a few days each time you end up "paying" $82,000 and get better cash flow.....vs. $100,000
