My realtor went out and got video of the property and from the looks of it it's in pretty good shape there are minor issues like paint, a small dip in the floor, cracked window, oh out front there's roots growing up around the driveway (which I know could cost a pretty penny to fix driveways) but I'm not sure if there's any foundation, electrical, or plumbing issues.

So there is no way to treat the root of the problem.  

Seems to have a nice blend of both urban and suburban living, and looks like a great place to put down roots and raise a family.Curious to hear how locals feel about the area?

I just moved back out east from Toronto this past summer (August, 2021) with the intention of putting down some roots!

If exterior is in bad shape and roof, windows, parking lot, main water line, tree root issues pop up that could add thousands per door to the property.When you use high debt service on vacant properties you want a fast lease up.

For example, how many effective business dealings have rooted from a former personal relationship?

so my roots run deep.Listen to your wife.. having a 3rd party vette your turn key deals is not a bad thing how can it be especially if it is a knowledgeable  agent in the area..

Some folks even pay to have the sewer scoped for root or damage issues.
