Do you have extreme climate to deal with?

If the company has quality control on engineering and materials, craftsmanship and does it all in a climate controlled factory then their job is done.

I suppose the climate has changed but I think there is still so much opportunity here, buy and hold may not be the best strategy for the deals out here but then again if you BRRRR out you can still find great deals if you have some liquid for the rehabs and closing. 

My girlfriend and I are house hacking so living expenses are basically nothing at this time.The Austin market is hot hot hot right now so I've been looking in San Antonio and have started checking out the local REIA meetings there; it seems like a much friendlier climate from an investment standpoint.So, in short my dilemma is...what's the first move?

I learned my lesson and realized that electric furnaces in very cold climates aren't a good mix...

In humid climates like the carolinas and elsewhere in the south, if the hvac system isn't sized properly, you can get really poor results.

Austin is too small, but awesome climate and people.
