I would look at your strength and weaknesses to see how you partner could compensate in those areas.

And even with my experience with finance (I'm weak in mortgage lending :) I don't foresee a crash in the near term.Thanks for asking though.

Things brings what realization I hope you've arrived at which is Hire Your Weakness. 

I didn’t plan on things going this way I just kind of got backed into a corner on the whole thing and since we live in a small town and I also run brick and mortar grocery store in this town, I didn’t want to get a bad reputation of being “greedy”, but honestly that’s one of my biggest weakness is that I care what people think too much.

End of the day lots of hype but the deals were only as good as who was underwriting them  and I saw some that were pretty weak. so a lot of those CF who got into lending had a tough time.

Maybe in some weak states, (or in some states where the owner does not handle the formalities properly for that state) but I don't think in all.Asset protection attorneys specialize in this sort of thing.

This said, there is a yield in learning that we could have gotten from these that MAY have been enough to offset the initially weak financial yield. 

My weaknesses would involve any type of operational knowledge and capital raising simply because I have little experience on these subjects.
