Give it 10-15 years and you’ll be reading threads on if it makes sense to sand and refinish or just replace all these old painted cabinets.  

Still not sure of the room he is refinishing the flooring in, but from the price of the laminate he is charging I'm guessing it's small.I would just tell him your budget and ask where he can shave some money off.

There were many things that were not complete, for example they did not refinish the walls before repainting them throughout the house,  but I was told they would be by the project manager who was overseeing my project, and oddly enough after I get there I was informed that he is no longer with the company.

After moving out, we also hired out refinishing of the floors and some work in the upper level unit to get it "rent ready".

I refinished the floors myself and added a security camera system and coded locks to the home.

My contractor had partner issues and are no longer able to perform work.I have structural framing work along with drywall, patching & painting, and wood floor refinishing.

We think granite, ceramic tile, re-finished hardwood floors, and the upstairs renovation may increase the property value enough that it'll bump the price significantly.I've already visited a couple open houses in the area.

I have put in marble, tile, and wood floors in this place, upgraded the bathrooms in marble and granite, upgraded the kitchen in granite and stainless steel, refinished the moldy basement and put in a luxury shower with an oversized custom mud pan.
