I paid the painter $700 for labor, flooring was $1,000 (labor and material), $600 to gut out the basement that had been poorly finished, and $300 for glass block windows in basement.

A few painters have said they’ve seen this, especially with heavily smoked in homes and to reprimer and paint.

In the past, ive had to call multiple contractors (handyman, painter, hvac guy, cleaning crew, junk removal, lawn crew). 

I can paint my own house, but I choose to hire painters to do so because they can do it better, faster and cheaper than I can.So the question then is of value and liability. 

If you are in house flipping for example, this is who you should have in your circle:-Real estate agent-Wholesaler-General contractor-Sub contractors (electrician, plumber, framer, painter, roofer, etc)-Handyman-Designer-Architect-Engineers (electrical, structural, mechanical, civil)-Stager-Title company-Real estate attorney-CPA

.- my painter/drywall guy/cleaner husband/wife team, who charge me the same whether it takes 1, 2, or 3 coats of paint to cover the nasty colors a former landlord allowed- the floor refinishing guy, who has done a good job on 8 or 9 floors this year.  

Hire painters to speed up the rental process and avoid vacancies as much as possible.

The additional contractors that were seperate were the Exterior Painters, Granite Installers, Carpet Installer & Landscaper.

I've seen varying degrees of quality from different painters and detail work is lacking in some.
