And as others have said, there is no way you can get a place ready to go in a weekend, unless it is a rare situation where all the furnishings, decorations, linens, kitchen supplies, small appliances, cleaning is almost perfect when you walk in.

Unless the layout of the unit is rather awkward or you decorated à la Ralph Furley, the main reason for poor uptake (IMHO) is the value proposition  - the cost does not align with the amenities for the area.

My wife loves being a homemaker, talking to her mom on the phone, shopping, and having fun with the cats and decorating the house for the different seasons.
