I'd like to hear from some investors that are thriving and willing to tell me if I am taking the right steps and in the right mind frame to prepare for that deal when it presents.This is where I am at thus far:I've done research after research - selected an area of markets I'd like to invest in - acquired a realtor agent who knows the markets - acquired a hard money lender (75% LTV rate) - selected a potentially reliable GC - finally went to first REI meetup - currently finishing my LLC formation.

If possible, you could also consider starting small by taking on a few smaller projects to get a feel for the real estate contracting landscape.Remember, every career change comes with its challenges, but your background provides you with a solid foundation to thrive in the real estate industry.

Being able to see creative investors thrive in markets like this really solidifies to me that house hacking and investing in general favors those who try and apply themselves in different ways.Although it’s definitely not a get rich quick scheme, I use it to diversify my income, grow my portfolio, learn more about property management, and grow as an investor.I don’t think house hacking here is dead at all, I just think people have to be willing to do what others won’t so they can reap the benefits others can’t.

There are green investors like myself that thrive off any educational experience we can get especially when it's  FREE.
