No compromises!

I’m sure you’ll find a compromise.

I would ask the agent to bring it up to the seller and see if the seller and you can compromise a bit and go through the mortgage process together.

Many of these guys, especially the smaller subs, come onto my team with the express understanding that if they would like get my business and keep my business - that they are not to take on additional work for other investors/developers (people who are most likely to throw any kind of volume their way and subsequently compromise my ability to get my jobs done in a timely manner) without my approval.

I can think of a lot of compromises - some already mentioned.

The compromise is that I can fit a shower and tub but they would be a little small or I could just put in a large shower.  

I have no doubt that the leadship within the health dept and city council are beating the table and screaming theirs is the only way and no compromise will ever be considered...such is the way of every general before battle. 

As my hubby and I plan to move Texas someday in the near future.If anyone has any advice on how to work towards acquiring one piece of property to rent out without compromising our lively hood, then I would so love to hear from you!!!!!!!

Period.I have been fortunate, I suppose, to never have been forced by poverty or circumstances into compromising my ethics in such a manner.  

I think you've hit on a potentially good compromise here.
