I obviously have no way of verifying whether you own the asset or not, but find it odd that you'd throw away years of attempts at building your reputation and leave BiggerPockets rather than simply shut Melanie up by stating that you own the thing. 

Again check to verify that this information is correct.

It's important not to place undue trust in their claims without verifying them yourself.

I don't think they verified that the tenant was planning on leaving either.

Make sure you have a solid understanding of the revenue and expenses and that you are able to verify everything.

@Scott Trench & @Rene Hosman Have you considered implementing ways to verify identities of those who can post in the forums and perhaps even require full names?
