I think I could stomach the negative cash flow if there was a lot of potential for appreciation, but I guess I'm not convinced of that potential anymore having been there for 5 years and not seen much appreciation despite a lot of businesses coming in.

If you can stomach the sleazy stage sales pitch by some of their partners (TILT, JG Francour, Corey & Tiffany etc) you’d find folks like Barry Maguire, Sherilynn Milsom, and maybe even Russell Westcott (doubtful he will be on stage) who actually put others success before their personal profits.

Not every house will work for a STR, you need a year-round tourist destination, and a GREAT location.Adding sweat equity is a big plus, of course, as much as you can handle or stomach......Just keep looking, or change your areas of interest....
