Hi Bill, no the idea here is not screw any one.

Milwaukee has the largest number of duplxes of any city in the US to my best knowledge. 5% down get's you out from paying rent and you also learn the ropes in a really-hard-to-screw-up setting. 

I'm assuming I broke a mirror or walked past a black cat or something and just screwed my own luck somehow.

And if you are dealing with a difficult seller, and a shady sellers realtor, you'll be the one screwed over.  

And, I hope that if you are screwed, you will let us share your story on BiggerPockets as a warning to other investors who think that Subject To is anything other than what it is. 

My insurance company screwed up in insuring the property and are trying to cover it with their E&O policy.

This was done by both parties so its a bipartisan issue (note I do not support either party so not making this a political post).Anyone under the age of 30 is screwed to buy a home right now or for next 3-5 years unless their parents or grandparents are wealthy.
