A property manager may be a hard egg to crack but once cracked (built trust or relationship), they can open many doors since they can be your advocate and have access to many homes.this is the case with apartment complexes.   

What should I keep in mind to ensure I'm approaching it the right way?

Keep in mind if you are renting a house to a company you can write whatever you want into the lease.

Connecting with experienced investors is a great move as it allows you to learn from others' experiences and opens doors to partnerships, resources, and insights you might not have considered.

I'm open to expanding the Chicagoland area, to find the best deal possible.
