Something like this would be in the range of needing $200-300k to get done.

This gets them thinking about your eventual move and the stress they might face in finding a new tenant.After some time has passed, you could share that you’ve started looking at other homes, but the options in your price range don’t compare to the property you’re living in.

You don't need the huge fridges and ranges untill you get to a higher price point IMO...

You can still find single-family homes in the $80k–$100k range and duplexes in the $130k–$150k range, even in C and C+ neighborhoods that are seeing steady improvements.

If you don’t mind sharing, what’s the average price range in the area where you are house hacking?

This might be easier to expand with more duplexes in years to come verses option 1.Option 3: There are cheaper duplexes in Akron, OH that might range from 150k.

I'm looking into SFHs in the 250-320k range.
