I bought 3 homes (2 in Rochester, 1 in Brighton), that only needed me to change the locks and install smoke detectors (and a few more minor stuff).

Those aren't exactly something the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has made optional...My BS detector is starting to activate.

I thought that they were going to make me take a lie detector test that I would not be renting to students.  

The other 30 duplexes/triplexes were dumps...I also second the motion on concealed carry Green Bay has deteriorated very rapidly in the 10 years I've lived here. 

My goal is to have something decided and in motion by the end of this month, so we'll see.

Just an update on this thread, I ended up purchasing vinyl window locks for each opening and installing a motion light.
